In July 2012 two trustees went to the Garden House Compound in Lusaka. The area in which the Monica Kirk Foundation  has a plot of land. The aim was to consult with the people living in the area, to see how best we can benefit them.

We spent some time talking to individuals and groups within the area. We asked questions and listened to what the people thought was a priority to them.

An overwhelming majority of the residents said they needed medical facilities, especially antenatal and under 5’s care within the area.
